KERRYS REVIEW - This story is aimed at the YA age group, however I read this gem a few months ago and thoroughly enjoyed it, fifty something grown woman that I am. My market event days in the northern suburbs of Perth always have kids proudly telling me that Ms Higgie is their school librarian. Melts my heart when kids show so much admiration and pride for one their teachers. Its set in Guildford and is about two sisters who have lost their parents and move into an old classic home. Those of you who know the Guildford area can imagine exactly the type of home this would be. Weatherboard, rambling gardens and vintage charm. One of the sisters finds an old book hidden underneath the floorboards and so the adventure begins. It takes you on a ride throughout different times in history, from ancient Greece to Victorian England and war torn China.  Its a genuinely fab read no matter what age.
